JOB GOAL:
To provide instruction, guidance, and support for students from various academic backgrounds, learning objectives, learning activities, and subject area content appropriate for the grade, subject area, and academic level of assignment.
MINIMUM TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s Degree or higher from an accredited institution in the academic discipline assigned; possesses a current teaching certificate and the necessary academic qualifications for the subject area assigned; must be highly qualified.

Provides and organizes professional instructional activities for diverse populations of students, appropriately planned for specific academic assignments.
Supports and delivers the established curriculum.
Plans and is accountable for the effective deployment of allocated resources to secure high quality learning experiences.
Provides all appropriate learning activities for effective teaching of special needs students.
Provides and establishes student grades for academic subject areas.
Provides safety for all students assigned.
Provides basic effective classroom management skills.
Maintains complete and factual records on each student as required by school and Statues.
Provides counseling and assistance to parents when necessary.
Plans the educational needs of each student based on learning abilities and interest.

To work with the educational leader to secure and account for effective learning, appropriate achievement, and educational, social, and personal progress of all students in the assigned area of responsibility, which includes the Humanities, Music, Art, Drama/Theatre, and Dance, consistent with the mission and vision of the Charter School and the unique needs of individual students.
MINIMUM TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:

High School Diploma; experience in maintaining a physical plant and grounds (preferred).
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
Ability to understand and follow written and oral instructions.
Knowledge of janitorial cleaning supplies, materials, and equipment.
Ability to complete assignments with minimal instructions and follow-up.
Ability to collaboratively work with supervisors and other personnel.
Ability to work independently and to complete assignments.
Ability to work flexible hours when necessary.
Ability to use and recommend equipment for grounds work.
Ability to be exposed to high degrees of heat, dust, mold, and other chemicals to carry out assignments.

Assists in securing all areas of the facility on a daily basis.
Identifies safety and security problems when necessary.
